If you are 5'6" +/- then it looks to be a fine bike in great shape.

Nice bike, Likely a "made in Japan" Trek.

Exactly what size is the bike? Did you check it out? Maybe you could email the seller and tell them to measure the seat tube, Google on how to do that. If the seat tube is 19-20 inches, it'll likely fit. Go check it out with a ruler in hand and get on the bike to see for yourself if the seller is too lazy or incompetent to do it. Maybe bring 5mm and 6mm allen wrenches so you can adjust the seatpost/saddle height and make sure the stem isn't frozen in place. If you are that uncertain of what you are looking for, do some research on google on bike sizing.

This looks to be a 19 inch frame and it should work given your height. Leg length is more helpful in determining bike size. I wouldn't overanalyze this though. The bike is a reasonable deal and those don't tend to last on CL since most of the bikes in my experience are overpriced and don't tend to move. The good thing about a square deal on craigslist is that if you end up not liking the bike you can sell it for more or less what you paid for it.
