Miyata mountain bikes
Hello all,
My husband and I own Miyata Elevation 10000 and Koga-Miyata Trailrunner mountain bikes. We are into touring bikes, so these have not been ridden much. We are thinking of selling them. Does anyone have any idea what they are worth? My brother got them for us around 2001, so I have no idea what they went for even then. Both are in really good shape.

Here you go...frame size on Elevation 10,000 is 36 mm down tube/ 52 mm top tube. Frame size on trailrunner is 52 mm down tube/57 mm top tube.

Frame size is measure from the center of the crank pivot to the center of where the top bar intersects the seat bar. The Elevation 10,000 is a 13" bike and looks to be an early 90's model.
My guess is a maybe $150-200 for the TrialRunner and $200-250 for the 10,000.

Nice bikes. The Elevation is a very small frame so it's market is limited. Since one is a Koga Miyata, my next question is what region/country/state are we talking about? Location affects value.

We are in central Pennsylvania. The mountain biking around here is pretty awesome (so I have been told). The bikes have only been ridden on rails to trails around here and a few gravel roads. Kind of a waste really. Like I said, we are not into mountain biking.

I'd take the best photos you can, with side views from both sides, at pedal height, with a couple of detail photos. List each separately on craigslist for $225. If you're near the Happy Valley, some PSU students may not have cars, so offer to deliver. If not sold by Christmas, wait until spring.
Yesterday at a garage sale, the male of the house was wearing a UM hat. So, I offered $15 on $19 worth of goods saying, “I should get a discount because for the first time in my life, I am rooting for PSU to beat Michigan, so we can get rid of Brady Joke faster!” He took the deal!
