Huge MERCIAN mismatched parts

MERCIAN wrong season, right bike

I was going under the assumption that all Merc's are well-built out of 531 or 631, and that despite the mismatch, the components are all still good-ish stuff, but while arranging for facilitation, I was notified that that price was way more off-base than I thought. It's my height, waiting on tt measurement. What is it really worth?

If the seller can give you the serial number, Mercian may be able to tell you what tubes were used to build the frame. I'd offer $400 since the components are so rough and be happy at $450-ish if the tubing is somewhat decent. Any idea about the leather saddle the seller is offering?

Hey, I posted this on the "are you looking for one of these" thread. Given that (1) this bike is huge, (2) it's winter, and (3) this person does not live in a very hip, bike-centric part of town, there isn't likely to be much other interest. So I think you can probably hold out for the price @jet sanchEz recommends.

He needs to take that bike to an NBA arena and place it outside the locker room.

I sold my 66cm King of Mercia 2 years ago for $800. This Mercian looks to be a few cm's larger than mine. I think $450- $500 is fair due to it's condition.

He would be better off selling it with no seat at all. Oh boy that looks bad.
