looking for a saddle for an English 3 speeds
I am just wondering if a Hairpin Bicycle Saddle would be a good choice for an old Armstrong bicycle from the 70's the saddle I found (Picture attached) is a replica which goes with my budget at the moment. I wonder if somebody here has previous experience with that kind of saddle. I couldn't find any reviews anywhere in the web I will appreciate it your inputs

I have a Ridable Replica saddle that looks a lot like the one in your photo. I have it on an India made Atlas one speed bike with rod brakes. It is surprisingly comfortable on a bicycle not known for comfort. There is a lot of travel i the springs, but unlike saddles with 2 coil springs in back (like the Brooks Flyer) it is easier to make sharp turns on this saddle.

I went adhead and ordered anyway. I have a Brooks B17 on a road bike and I like it a lot, so I think in a year or so I can order another brooks for this bike too. I would like the B33.

I have used one of these saddles and the are rather comfortable. The style seems a bit more suited for a older pre 60's bike than one from the 70's.

Received the saddle today and I am quite impressed, It is better than I though. Looks like it is made with real leather, probably a bit heavier than I would like but it will be fine, I would recommend it. Their web site is Rideable Bicycle Replicas in case somebody else is looking for alternatives.
Thank you to the ones that replied earlier on the thread. Good advises.

Those uber springed saddles weigh a ton, but they certainly look very cool!
Only thing is, those giant springs might make a few people nervous to ride them as "things" might get caught or pinched in them when getting on and off the bike.....
