1980's Peugeot Corbier
Hey!
New to riding, looking to get a cheap road bike to commute to work a few days a week. Just looking to see if this 1980s Peugeot Corbier is a good deal? Spoke to the seller, and he offered it at $185. Please see the link below for photos...here is the description as well:
1980s Peugeot Corbier, Classic, Vintage, New tape and saddle
Early 1980s 10-speed Peugeot Corbier in great shape, handles very well.
Installed a new red saddle and grey handle bar tape.
Bike features 103 Carbolite frame (lugged not welded), chrome headset, Atax alloy stem, Weinmann side-pull brakes, and a Sachs Huret front derailleur. The rear derailleur was replaced on this model with a Suntour Accushift 4050 rear derailleur. 20in seat tube. Ask all questions; local delivery okay.
Thanks in advance

At $185, it's still a bit high for my area which might have it go for $125. But, if it's clean, in good shape, and doesn't need tires, chain, cables, and servicing, I might call it an okay price if it's in nearly-new condition. The most I'd go is $125.
Looks nice though, I had one in the same color scheme, and I like Peugeot's.

Low end Peugeot with hi-ten frame, steel rims, stem shifters, turkey levers, steel bars & seatpost. Might be OK if it was much cheaper, but $185 should get a higher quality bicycle.

Still learning
In the northeast, IMHO, even with the scratched up top tube, in ready to ride condition, about $160-$175. Good luck and enjoy!

Front wheel backwards and saddle strangely positioned. Seller likely doesn't know much about bikes. Doesn't make me confident bike has been completely serviced. But still it is a nice looking Peugeot which is worth an additional $50 it seems. In Portland it would bring $185.
