Very market dependent. Here in "Hooterville", it would never get that price. I tend to be a buyer of high end bikes in my market rather than a seller, as they tend to sell low. But I realize if I ever sell, I either have to accept low pricing, or sell via eBay.

And although I like Shimano 600 tricolor, I would prefer a higher end group at that price (either Dura Ace 7400 or a nice Campy group).


What's going on with those front spokes??? I guess it is just a reflection off the paint.

Cool bike, so if it is what you want and your size, you probably won't see another one for a long time.

I love the color and my size. Its been for sale for over a year, agree a little overpriced for a CL sale.

I like 600 tricolor just fine.

$800 should take care of this matter.

Nice bike the price is a little high considering it is somewhat plain for a Zunow and only has 600 components I would say $600-700. The Zunows that garner the $1000 and higher prices are flashier with over over the top custom paint and frame details with full DA components.

If it were my bike, I would never let it go for $600-$700.

I'd likely get that much for the frameset alone.

If it were local...and the right size, I would easily go 800 for this one...I am not even sure that the 1000 is quite "over the top"...as Zunow's (in any paint scheme) do not come along that often...

So it seems like it's probably worth from $800 to $1,000. I will think about it, and maybe see if I can flip my current bike for some money. Thanks for the replies.

As Vonruden suggests, the seller may be more motivated than you would guess. Those photos were shot August 2013.

Doesn't hurt to ask, but if the seller is like me good luck with a substantial discount.

I would rather sit and look at a bike than give it away.

This guy has been trying to sell this bike for a very long time now and he hasn't budged on the price and he hasn't added a seat to it, I am guessing he won't be willing to budge much on the price, if at all.

I thought the hummingbird was Zunow's lower level bike....not top of the line. That 600 group also suggests that. I'm thinking 300-500 for that. If you really want it fine, but there are many way better bikes for that price. The 600 tri color is very common, and although a great group, it's not worth much more than 200.00. I can't imagine that frame being worth more than 300...so do the math. Around here lately, craigslist is full with fantastic deals. It's a buyer market. For 1000.00 you can get top of the line italian bikes or hand crafted American builders, like Della Santa etc...with better groups on them for less than 1000.00. What ever you decide..best wishes and happy vintage riding.

Ha yes, I was getting excited - cool looking bike, looks to be my size. I'll bet it sold for $1000 or close to it in 2015. Maybe not now; buyers market now compared to then.

Mmmmmm....yes, but maybe not for Zunow. I paid a whole bunch more than that for my Hummingbird Z-1 Pantalia about a year ago, and then replaced almost every component on the bike.

So, there's that.
