Identify this Bottom Bracket?

I got this in a box of parts. Its clearly a Shimano bottom bracket. But, can anyone offer any information on what groupset it may have been part of? Or what model it is? I am trying to assign it some value. For what I have learned there is a hierarchy of BB. It appears to have never been used. It came in a box full for mid 1980s parts. Any thoughts?

1. Look up IE date code (May 1984).

2. Its either French or Swiss threaded, verify threading, either one will have good value.

Value is in threading, not the model. Swiss threading and french are both the same size, but swiss is reverse threaded on drive side. Swiss is MUCH more rare, and would have more value. French will have good value as well (more than standard).

I would agree the value in this BB is more in the sizing and threading than anything else. I would guess it would go for $40-50 nicer vintage BB with French or Swiss threading in 112mm length that would go nicely with a Japanese track crank are pretty rare.

I appreciate the information, but....how do I "look up IE date code"? How do I know what threading it is?

I already looked it up for you, hence the May 1984 date. If you don't understand threading, I would go to a bike shop.
