Bike Help Required

Hello! I am interested in buying this bike: Vintage Peugeot Road Bike Excellent Condition

However I know that it is far over the asking price. I have bought a Reynolds PX10 for $250 in the past. I was just wondering if anybody could advise me on a reasonable price?

Thanks!

That is a AO-8, about as low in the Peugeot line as you could get in the US in the 1970s. Worth maybe $100. I wouldn't even bother trying to talk him down. Find something better.

Even in Vancouver, that isn't worth 25% of the asking price. You can do much better.

Well Vancouver tend's to be over priced and Pugeot's are typically listed at 2 or even 3x value there. Yet even by these standards this bike is way overpriced. Green 70's AO-8 basically the least desriable of the 70's Pugeot's even in Vancouver in the spring in perfect condition not a even a $200 bike.

This bike is worth less than $100 in my opinion. In Vancouver I'm sure it would go for more. But $650 is insane. You could get a nice PX-10 for that money.

Bonkers. Even if it's fully overhauled and in perfect condition that's worth around a quarter of the asking price, maybe $200 if it's really perfect.

Thank you! I went to view it and it was a total scam. Wasn't even the right size and was not fixed up properly. I eventually got it out of them that they just "find" bikes and fix them up and flog them!

That seller smoked from a glass pipe if he thinks that he should get $650! $75-100 would be my max. Go find better.
