Suntour V RD.....NOS.....value?

I have a NOS Suntour V rear derailleur. It is beautiful and has the package and paperwork. Is it particularly valuable?

I have a suntour vgt luxe rear derailleur also NOS still wrapped in the original plastic. I'm thinking that mine is worth at least as much as yours, . I doubt it's worth a heck of a lot. We'll see what others have to say.

Yeah I'm not expecting to retire off of it… :-) but I didn't find any for sale or closed auctions on eBay (that's about the only place I look) I just want to use it apprately. It looks to be a very high quality derailleur.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

The oracle that is the Bay says $31-80 for NOS on these.
YMMV, Craigslist or other local sale will bring likely no more than half that much.

I see these selling for $15-20 in very good used condition and $40-50 NOS.

Must be plenty of NOS Suntour out there. I got a NOS Suntour 7 RD for $30 + 7.50 S&H off ebay recently. I like your's better. I might pay up to $50 for that If I really needed it for a build. Ironically, these old Suntour derailleurs are often much better parts than many Campagnola ones that would cost 5X - 10X more. They are definitely far superior to anything Shimano was making back in those days. Good luck.
