Peugeot ID

I finally got my first vintage bicycle and it is a Peugeot. I did some research and I think I narrowed it down a little bit but I still can't find exactly which one it is, what year and how much it is worth.

I believe it is between 1979-1983 because of the checkers that it has on the frame. It has a small sticker on the bottom bracket and from what I can tell it reads: 2177290 UF 18M 57. The bike was made in France. It has Carbolite 103 frame and I know that it was used on the lower end models so I am not expecting this to be the holy grail of bikes but i would still like some information on it.

Thanks in advance for your help. I would appreciate any info.

Could your serial # be UE18 instead of UF18? Peugeot made a UE18 mixte:

PEUGEOT UE8 & UE18 - INTRODUCTION

Yes you are right, I can not see the bottom line on the E but I am pretty sure it will be an E since I haven't found anything with a UF18.

Looks to be from 1979-80 based on the markings and type brakes with a cottered crank.
