What model motobecane is this?

Hi
I am just wanting some information on what model/age motobecane this is and what value it has. It is silver columbus tubing with huret titane on the chainstay. The groupset is huret 6 speed with a stronglight crank. The stem has phillipe on it and the bars have atax. The cabeling runs along the top tube. The brakes are weinmann. The saddle is italia criterium. The dropouts are horizontal it runs perfectly but there are a few surface spots of rust. Any idea what model it is?

From only one pic I cant tell. How do you know it's Columbus tubing? Is there a decal I cant see? Nice bike. Can you find any date stamps on hubs, cranks, pedals or RD?

Yes there decals on the forks and down tube. The top of the forks is stainless. I will look for dates tomorrow any idea where they would be?

Nice lugwork. The nutted front brake says it's late 70's-early 80's. Most old Moto's had the model on the TT in plain sight. I'm stumped. Someone else will have to help. I'm wondering if this is a European model. Is the nut missing from the rear caliper?

I bought it at a car boot sale in the French Alps so maybe it was a French version . The old man had ridden all the local cols on it but was too old to use it anymore.

US Motos were named by the US distributor, so it may be a different naming convention overseas. The Columbus decal is above the shifters. You might search the French language catalogs for the bike, but the time period seems correct. Below is a Moto I have that doesn't appear in any US Catalog, but I believe was identified by one of the esteemed authorities here as a CV-41.

That looks very similar apart from the decals i will see if i can find the french motobecane catalogues and look at those.

I found this in the 1979 french catalogue it has the same spec. Any idea on its value? I was thinking about having it resprayed and new decals is this advisable?

Depends. In general, respraying is for your own benefit to ride & enjoy. It's not often you'll make $ with a repaint. Part of the problem is that you'll be putting a bunch of old looking components on a new looking frame. Unless they're in really nice shape. Next thing is, the original paint is only original once. What is your goal?

In the USA, as presented with the poor photo, FMV is about $135 +/- 10%. Cleaned up, ready to ride, rust mitigated, and better photography could double value.
