Bird in the hand?

I've got a great bike that is nicely set up for me right now. It is a 1985 Gazelle AB with a 531c frame. I just spotted this on the local craigslist, and I'm intrigued.

Centurion Ironman

Now, my Gazelle is a 60cm frame and is at the limit of what works for me in terms of comfort. The Centurion is a 59cm frame. I likely could only keep one of the bikes (I know that's sacrilege) and am wondering if swapping the Gazelle for the Centurion would be wise move?

Any opinions?

The Miami Vice Centurion is a nice bike but if the Gazelle has a full 531 frame and fork it is a better frame.

I don't know if 1cm is enough to make it a worthy switch. Like Bianchigirll said, a Miami Vice Ironman is a cool bike but 531c is tough to beat.

the ironman is tange 1 which is no slouch - even against 531c. why not go try it out and see which one you like better?

Go ride the Centurion...then make a decision...fit and ride are what bikes are all about...

of course, as @oddjob2 said...N+1 rules!

Thanks, all. I certainly understand and embody the N+1 concept. I just don't want to facilitate a N-me situation in our household. I'll wait a few days and see if it sells - if not, I'll maybe make some sort of offer. But it would have to be a better bike, overall, than my Gazelle for me to keep it.

Thanks again.

Ha ha! Well put. For me, the fun of acquiring new bikes is, in part, learning about different bikes, parts, etc. As the owner of an Ironman, I would recommend it. Give it a test ride and see what you think.

I would bet a 6 pack that the seller of the IM pictured above was @rjhammett.

You are correct. That was my bike. I sold it a few days ago. The guy that bought it took one look at it, said it was beautiful and said he would buy it. He didn't check it over or ride it. Just paid me my asking price and walked away with it. He seemed quite happy to get it.
I loved that bike and would not have sold it but I found an identical frameset a couple cm larger that is a better fit.

I recently picked up an Ironman Master frame (turquoise and white colors). For the sake of posterity, would you mind telling me what this bicycle sold for? I missed seeing the listing.

As much as I wanted to get a look at the bike, I never found the time to get up to look at it. The picture made it look great, though. Glad it sold to a happy camper. After spending a few more days on my Gazelle,
I've decided that it's going to take a pretty nice bike to too what I've got.
