1996 Campagnolo Record Titanium 8 spd Groupset Value?
I currently have this groupset on a 96' Specialized M2 Pro Matrix Metal.
Here are the specs: -Record Titanium: Deraileurs, Crankset, shifters, & brakes -Mavic open pro wheelset with campagnolo centuer hubs - Campagnolo Chorus Headset & Bottom Bracket My question is should I sell the bike for 400$ locally or try and part it out on eBay? Also how much would y'all say the groupset w/ wheelset is worth alone? Or should I just keep it since I like the bike besides the handlebars and stem. Thanks |
Current "sold" listings on the Bay suggest a value of $400 - $575 for groups (with hubs, not wheelset) like yours in good used condition.
If you "like the bike besides the handlebar and stem" the logical choice would be to replace those instead of ditching the whole bike. |

Well I already have way too many bikes so that's why I was looking to sell it but I guess it wouldn't hurt to hold onto it. It is surprisingly light for being an older bike too.

The gruppo parted out with wheels probably nets you 600-700 on the bay...likely more. It's a wonderful gruppo. I'd snap that up at $400 complete as a donor bike.

Thanks for the replies. I picked it up for 350$ a couple months ago so I'm glad to hear I got a good deal. I just ordered a new stem, stem adapter, fsa wing pro compact bars, and some new lizard skin so I'll probably hold onto it now. The only part of the bike I didn't like was the bars which felt like they were 48 cm wide with a mile long reach.
