Bridgestone, type and worth?

I like the Bridgestones I've seen, and I came across this one on craigslist. Does anyone know the model? I'm assuming it might be one of their mountain bikes, but that's just based on the handlebars.
Bike - 10 speed Bridgestone bike
thanks!

Definitely a mountain bike, or one of their "city" bikes. Can't tell much more from the lousy pictures.

But it's probably worth $40! Go check it out.

Thanks for the reply, I got a hold of the guy and I'll look at it tomorrow, he didn't know the model (and apparently couldn't look at the frame), and told me the frame size was 26"... pretty big frame ;) is the handlebar the only difference between the xo types and the mountain bike versions? The frames look very similar to me.

They varied too much from year-to-year to make any broad generalizations. Need to find out specific year/model and look it up in the catalogs on Sheldon Brown's site and probably elsewhere.
