In my opinion, you paid fair market value.

I paid around $3 at a garage for this smaller NOS Vectra which is still quite practical and looks nice on a vintage racer. The seller wanted $5.

The 1000 with that giant sensor ring is nice mainly for the LOLs (Wow, what is that thing?!, people will say). An quirky, obsessive collector might want it if he were building a showroom-worthy restoration of a bike from that period but even that's a stretch. The shorts might fetch $5 on their own still in the box if the right person came along.

+1. Or close to it. Maybe $10 on the computer.
