Giant Kronos bike for beginner

Hello,

I am new to this forum and also new to biking. I want to start getting in shape. I used to bike a lot before high school and want to get back into it. I am looking more for a hybrid bike so I can cruise but can also be comfortable on our crappy Michigan roads.

I also have a two year old so I need a bike that will pull a bike trailer. I found this one, not sure if it is good or not. Tired look worn. Any help would be great. I am buying on a budget. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The non-standard shifters ( they are mountain bike shifters) and the improperly installed brake cables makes a no-go for a neophyte.

And wow! did you get a look at how high that truck is jacked up!

Good catch on the shifters/brakes.
There aren't a lot of bikes in the Saganaw Craigslist. Is there a big city nearby?

Your description looks incongruous. You say you're looking for a Hybrid, but post an ad for a road bike. Which do you want?

Also, how tall are you?

Here is a Denali. They are cheap... but perhaps worth $100.
700c men's road bike

Here is a Univega that looks nice. A bit taller than what you were looking at.

Go check this out. If it fits and isn't real rusty this looks like a good deal. $30 for the bike then take it to shop for a good tune up and some lube on the chain.

Bridgestone bike

There is a nice looking GT mountain bike I saw listed and Giant Boulder ATB for $100 that looks OK. GIANT BOULDER 500 MOUNTAIN BIKE 26 INCH ALLOY WHEELS 18 SPEED

Nice Hybrids seem to be slim pickings up that way.
