Schwinn Stingray Pixie
I've had this bike in my garage for a while and I was wondering if someone could tell me more about it.
Is it worth salvaging? Or should I donate it to the Goodwill here? I know absolutely nothing about bikes, so any information is appreciated.
I did find a serial number on the frame underneath the seat, but it doesn't seem to fit the typical Schwinn format. It is simply six digits.

Thank you!

Looks like a late 1960's pixie. Looks to be in good shape. I would sell it, there should be a market for it with Sting-Ray collectors. I would say it's worth 100 to 140.

What a cool little bike! Those were the old "convertibles" where the sister and brother could share with the help of dad's wrench. In that shape, I'd list it in very shiny, detailed pics and a starting price of 175.00. Take pics of the drive side, seat and be sure the sun glistens off the chrome fenders. Someone out there wants that.
Here is the deluxe model (1970) that I have. It is totally original right down to the cheater slick rear tire. One in our area started at 350.00 and another is at 250.00.

Still learning
Check your local CL and ebay solds to get an idea of local and national values. Yours is in better condition than most. Good luck!
