Gios Compact

I have a chance to buy a Gios Compact. It has a starfish crank, Sante' derailleurs etc. A mishmash of components.
I'm buying mostly for the frame/fork.
How much does a 62 size hurt the market value?
Any opinion on value?

Do to current market conditions for classic road bikes, $600 to $700 Ebay, CL $300 to $400, most don't know about Mavic cranks. I had a Gios Compact a few years ago, too harsh of a frame, felt more like Serrotta, with that I decided to sell the bike frame on Ebay and got $600 for it. Good Luck, Mike

It certainly ly won't sell as quickly or as high as the same frame in a more commonly sought after size (54 - 58cm), because of its large size, but the brand name does help to keep the value higher that it would have been for a less "prestigious" brand. I'd say $650ish, max, for the whole bike would be a good valuation. I'd start with an offer of $475 and see how it goes....

And sell off the crankset to help recoup the price.
Generally big guys are cheap.
