My brother asked me to sell his bike in our garage sale and after looking at it it certainly looks like a better than average bike. Its in great condition, is there any significant value or should i just let it go in the sale.

hello and welcome to the forums. The pics don't give a lot of detail but your right it is a bit nicer than you basic walmart or Dicks bike. It was a good quality bike in its day. It does look like it needs some elbow grease and TLC though.

Used mountain bikes(MTBs) don't usually have a high resale value but depending on your location and clientele you might get $125-150 for it. I would put a $150 tage on it and take any offer over 125.

I sold an overhauled Rockhopper for $200 about 2 months ago to a AA pilot for his son. Bill's advice for CL is spot on and don't take a dime less than $150.
