1959 Schwinn Hollywood

Please ignore previous post. I had the wrong date.

My wife is looking to sell off this bike. I cant find any frame of reference for how much to sell it for. Also, have no idea the best place to sell it.

Its in excellent shape. I dont have any pictures yet, because I'm missing a rear tire. I just ordered a new set of tires and tubes, which I should have by the end of this week. At that point I can take pictures of it in all its glory.

This link shows exactly what it looks like.

Serial number is h937529. For some reason it decodes to a 1959 Schwinn Chicago. Thats not the bike at all, so not sure how good the schwinn decoder is.

When you post a photo of the finished bike, we'll have some thoughts. I paid $30 for the 1960's one below in July, but that was a remarkable deal.

Serial number H937529 decodes to Wednesday, August 19, 1959, near the end of the day. All Schwinn bicycles from 1895 to 1971 were made in Chicago. Schwinn kept good records of the dates bikes were made by serial numbers (although they lost a big chunk of their 1930s paper records in a fire.) But the record of what models were made on which date is lacking. You know they made at least one blue ladies Hollywood on 08/19/59.
