Help with a Rossin

Like to get some thoughts on this red Rossin. Seller originally was asking $850, then $775, now $700. Rossin 55cm Road Bicycle
All I know about Rossins has come from Bike Forums threads. I'm having a hard time judging whether the asking price is fair for this one as I'm not able to identify this particular model. Does any one have any thoughts on a model or year? I'd also appreciate thoughts on what would be a fair price?

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

I don't do pricing because IMO a bike is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it. But you might date the bike based on the production years of the crankset, which, from the photo, seems to be a Chorus from a few years on either side of 1990 or so.

That's a sexy bike. It's not worth $700 to me, but someone might pay that. It's not out of line. Good luck trying to name the model, I tried a few years ago with mine. No yams.

Looks like a Rossin Prestige, at least the fork crown. However, the Drive side rear dropout has holes for the very short-lived Campagnolo Portacatena which was introduced about 1978? and disappeared by about 1982. If the frame, fork & grouppo are from 1990 or so, what's with the portacatena holes on the campag 1010B?

I fear that the fork is not original to the frame. However, I'm not an expert on Rossin.

If it is a genuine, undamaged Rossin, CAD 700.00 seems reasonable. Frame $300, Parts & Wheels $400. Reasonable.

Some really good information, thanks all. The forks does appear to match several of the Prestiges I've seen online, although the head tube lugs are less ornate than many. And then there's the race tag mount. Not something I've seen on many either.

Also doesn't appear to have a tubing decal. Makes me wonder if the paint is original?

I have a Rossin Genisis which I don't think is one of their top of the line frames but it sure is a great ride. Mine is a 56cm and I would prefer it to be a 54 but we can't have everything.
