Here’s an interesting one.

Dave Robichaux may be familiar to some of you. He was a well-regarded frame builder in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Unfortunately, he passed sometime in the mid 90’s.

This particular frame was a one-off, and I believe a prototype for another larger bike manufacturer. It is very similar in design to the Grove X and the Trimble.

I’m under no illusions that selling this bike would allow me to retire, so any and all opinions are welcome.

Came across this post. So happend Dave was a good friend of mine. WSe raced moto against each other in the 70's. I moved away and lost touch till I ran into him while visiting. I was rehabbing a blown knee and happened to be riding Mtn Bikes. he wanted to build me a bike. So, after many beatings I agreed. What he built for me was glorious. I raced it for a year then got back into mot. Dave was killed a year later in a hang gliding accident. I never had the heart to part with the bike. Still sits in my office all restored. RIP Dave.

That Earls type (leading link) front suspension is kewhl. It should have no front dive when you brake. It's only the second Earls fok bicycle I ever saw.... I'm sure the builder would have installed a disc brake system on that front end, if good ones were already available back then...... it would have been icing on the cake for that bike! The Softride rear end is kind of a mixed bag though, as it has quite a small C&V following.....more of an "acquired taste".......
