Peugeot on CL

Vintage peugeot

What do you guys think of this bike?
I looked on the peugeot ID webpage and it looks to be a 1975.
Are there issues buying replacement parts for a french bike?
Thanks
Chris

I don't know what the Hawaii market is like but that's a $100 bike to me. Unless you can do your own work, the new tubes and tune-up will run you another $100 /-.

check the front and rear deraillers for cracks in the plastic parts...especially the derailler cogs...that particular bike looks like a U08 lower end and a bit heavy. It does seem clean and not a lot of rust, 100 to 150 if no issues, if plastic stuff is broken not a buy in my book as parts will add up to the bottom line.

There are Problems With French Bicycle Restoration, but nothing insurmountable, in my opinion. And, the French bicycle can offer pretty nice ride quality while looking the vintage part with no effort at all. I like French bicycles, and this one looks like a nice place to start and, though I am not familiar with the OP's market strength, the bike is worth close to asking price, in my opinion...

Good ballpark price...if the bike is in rideable condition...or you can do your own refurbishing...but...parts will cost you a bit, as others have said...I am not a fan of French bikes, but, hey, to each his own! From what I have heard/seen, the Hawaii market is quite limited in C&V type bikes...so...if you find one in your size, it is often wise to purchase...

The bike is pretty basic entry level model but looks to be in fairly good basically original shape. It should clean up to make a nice rider if everything works and there are no significant issues the price is about right for the market.
