Vintage Bianchi

Hi there,
I am new to the world of road bikes. I picked up this vintage Bianchi over the weekend. Can anyone help me identify the year and model?http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=478811 |
I can tell you it's from the late 80's, and the bike was desingned in Italy but unfortunately made in Japan.

Do you have any more pictures?
The made in Japan part only hurts the value. If you're looking for a good rider, nothing wrong with it in the least! |
Upside down non-drive side picture. That's a new one... OP, can you please post better pictures from the drive side so we can actually tell what we're looking at?

Sorry guys. I am new to all this. I tried posting that picture yesterday from my phone and couldn't figure out how to get the proper rotation so it came out upside down. I will post better photos of the bike tonight when I get home. Thanks for all your help.

Look for a two digit code beginning with 8 on the backside of the crank arms, that will zero you in on the year of production. Marx derailleurs were first marketed in 1981.

Those are much better, thanks. Not a rare/valuable/collectible bike but it should make a great rider. Looks early 1980s to me.
