Looks kinda low-end to me. At US $500, I don't think you'd be getting ripped off, per se, but you wouldn't be getting a bargain, either. If you were to part it out, maybe you could make that money back in parts.

Are you in Belgium? I would hold out for a better bike and/or deal, personally.

I'd buy that if it were near me. Colnago frame looks genuine, nice 80's panto and paint, NR on the rear, campy crankset, not sure which brakes those are but yeah I think it's worth it.

I'd say its a late 80s Super. Not original paint. Looks nice. Very definatly a worthy Colnago.

No i'm living in Germany.
I think its a repainted bike but i'm not sure because the parts look high end to me.

Are you sure its a real Colnago frame? Which frame do you think is it? What do you mean by NR? I think the brake is Campagnolo Super record.
Sorry I asked to many questions because I'm really scared that the Colnago is a fake one and I don't have any experience or whatsoever in Colnago bike. Only owned Eddy merckx so far

I would say it is a real Colnago likely a super that has been repainted the pano's frame details and most of the parts seem correct for a mid 80's Colnago. Some of the detailing on the repaint isn't very good which gives it fake look but I would say it was real and worth more than the asking price. If it had nice original paint and all the components matched it would be worth twice the asking price.

The brake calipers look like Campy Gran Sport. The crank and seat post look like Campy Triomphe. The rear derailleur is Nuovo Record. The hubs appear to be Campy Record. Looks like a repaint as evidenced by the rust/chipping painted over on the bottom bracket. Does appear to be a Colnago Super from the 1980's. If it looks good up close and doesn't need any work, I'd say $500-$600.

I would stay away.

What I see:

- repaint (not a very good one)
- incorrect decals
- mixed and period-incorrect group (brakes, derailleur, crankset -- none match)
- Shimano headset? Ugh
- aged brake hoods; unattractive saddle
- splash handlebar tape (enough said)

Bottom line recommendation: have a look at Steel Vintage Bikes - Online Shop for Classic & Vintage Bicycles & Parts (no affiliation).

is it worth to buy? I'm planning to give it a new original paint job and maybe get some profit out of it. How much do you think will it sell with a new saronni paintjob with the parts like that?

Yes, all of the parts are quite unmatched. I think I will stay away from that.

Thanks for the thought.

In this market, the new professional paint job would cost another $500 and add maybe $100 to the value, if that much. Buyers don't like repaints even as they complain about flawed original paint. I'd only be a buyer on that one if I were able to do any needed work myself and then ride it hard and enjoy it. I love my Colnago; I take good care of it but ride it whenever I feel the urge. Not saving it as a wall hanger.

Looks like a real Colnago to me. Would sure like the forks to be chrome though.

A classic brand frame with full Campy Record group is usually worth $600. The fact it's a Colnago makes it worth even more but the fact that it's a so-so repaint with a mixed Campy group brings it back down. I think it all nets out to a $600 bike.

A lot of the other forum members are more patient (and perhaps prudent) than me and would tell you to wait for a better deal. I think I can count the number of decent Colnagos that fit me and cost less than $800 on one hand. I'd grab this one at $500 and make it my dream bike. Have fun!

The Colnago has certain pantograph (fancy signature marks) like the club cutouts in bottom bracket shell (very cool), white "Colnago" on small tubes under seat etc etc. "NR" is Nuovo Record, a specific Campy group and specifically your rear derailleur. I think your bike is a Super, just my guess.
