Help Identifying Bridgestone

Hello all!

Could you please help me to identify this bike? I was speaking with the owner and they said they just learned it is a Bridgestone.

Vintage Bicycle

Thinking of grabbing this and letting my girlfriend have it for an around-town bike. Thoughts?

Thank you .

Its nothing special, but at $50, its pretty good.
I'm meeting the owner in a few hours to check it out . Hopefully not too late. Thanks for the help! Does it look newer or more vintage?

Just curious, what was the last year Bridgestone made bicycles? I found a catalog for 1994, but haven't seen anything newer.

This is definitely a Bridgestone bike. Everything, including the rack and basket, has Bridgestone identification. There is a neat little built in lock in the back wheel as well as a generator in the rear hub for a light up front. Everything on the bike appears to be original except for the seat, and almost everything is in Japanese (the gears have red, yellow, and green backgrounds with Kanji characters). Any idea what this bike may be? I'm currently searching online for it.

I was also able to pick up a Schwinn World Sport from the couple for $25 (they just bought electric bikes and were moving their old ones). Has everything except the seat (still has seatpost), since the owner put the seat on his newer bike. Came with some nice metal fenders and looks to be in decent shape. All original besides the stem which is this weird, tall thing that has a pivot in the middle (pics to come). Planning on cleaning it up and either giving it to my dad or selling it to another college student (couldn't say no at the price). I believe it is a newer one, since it has 4130 chromoly tubes and Suntour AR, but I will get some serial numbers and search up online.
