Cinelli 1962 frame
Evening!
I am trying to get an idea of worth for a Cinelli 1962 frame. Serial 7564. It has no decals just the head badge, doesn't appear to be a respray but can't say for sure.
Does anybody have any idea of value for just the frame. The components are not all original.
Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

build planning -
in case you will be getting just the bare frameset keep in mind it has the 74mm shell which takes a special bb spindle. campag made record bb fittings for these for track, road and for 3x. in about 1963 they even made all three spindles for 3/16" ball as they produced bb fittings for that size ball for just a year or so at that time. marked "con sfere da 3/16" ".
will leave appraisal to others more knowledgeable...

Many thanks for this information, really useful. I now believe it to be resprayed. I will check for chrome under the paint. An overspray would explain the lack of decals too.

hello gb_,
welcome to the forum.
after posting realized that i wrote as if you were a prospective buyer but your message does not state if you a vendor or a shopper be.
with respect to fittings, these also take a 26.2 pillar.
with respect to chrome, frame could be the speciale corsa model which had less than the super corsa. they have just lugs and crown plated; no blades or stays.
with respect to serial number, the experts state that there is no rhyme/reason to them and they are not a dating aid.

the forum is simply english language but ends up being mostly north american participation.
other readers are sure to be along shortly who can give you much better information.
