Help with Identifying Raleigh

Hello!

I bought a Raleigh a while ago and have been trying to find out what year it was made in; I've checked a couple websites that list serial conventions but my bike's serial does not match any of them. The serial is N1C0156 and I have minimal knowledge of vintage bikes so I don't have much more information to offer.

(Unfortunately, the owner before the guy I bought it from sloppily painted over the frame in an ugly brown and the original paint is red.)

Thank you for your help!

to me, the frameset looks like a dime-a-dozen 70's grand prix. the shifters, rear derailleur, crankset and other parts were added after repaint.

Not a Grand Prix but yes, a generic Hi-Ten type of bike like a Record or so.
