Golden Bike: 1975 CCM Torino with Reynolds 531 frame
Isn't this nice ?? Another flash from the past.
Dusty, not rusty.
A stranger dropped this off today. He took it to the old guy down the street who fixes mountain bikes and the fellow sent him over to my house to see if I wanted it. Its a 23-inch 1975 Torino 10-speed, one of the better CCM bikes from the 1970s, built with plain gauge 531 Reynolds tubing.
Shimano high flange alloy hubs, Schurmann rims, and Simplex Prestige derailleurs & gear levers.
Fancy wing nuts fore and aft.
Its no thoroughbred, but for 1975 this was considered a good domestic bike.
I can only wonder where it has been for the past 40 years.
It will soon be under a hipster on the streets of Toronto.
