HOW EARLY/VALUABLE? SMURF BLUE HIS & HERS JAMIS BOSS CRUISERS w/'BOSSMAN' FIGURES
I found these matching his & hers Jamis Boss Cruisers in a godawful smurf blue at a local thrift store today & got them both at a great price ($44.95 for 2). I've had a few of these before, but one unusual thing that has me wondering is a dressed up 'boss' man on the forks & down tube.
Are these early bosses? The man's has Sand Jam tires with the seashell tread & the ladies has a whitewall beach tire with SUN on the side - Suntour tires? They both also have the Sand Jam pedal; 1 side is for riding on the beach & the other side is for riding on the road.
Any help with these would be greatly appreciated - with Christmas coming up I think I'll do good selling them as a pair - I just need some info so I know how to describe them & what to charge for them.

They are very inexpensively made bikes, but I think at that price you can double your money. About $50 a piece and they should sell. They are not old, they are not valuable, they aren't quality bikes.

In current shape, maybe $40 per bike if you find someone ignorant enough to think its a deal.
At least remove the yellowed and broken pie plate and replace the rusted chains. Perhaps you could charge another $10 per bike that way. Or maybe it would make it easier to sell the bikes with chains that aren't in terrible shape.
...or at the very least, you won't feel guilty for pulling one over on some unknowing person.

No need to put your titles in ALL CAPS unless you want to look like a jerk. Especially when you start three threads that way at the same time.

Smurf Blue Jamis Cruisers
I know this is an old thread, but I love these bikes and have hard a difficult time finding any in Smurf blue.
But I got a Jamis Earth Cruiser in Smurf blue for xmas as a kid in 1984.
I would love to see the pics, but for some reason I can't open the attachments.
Thanks!
