1989 Panasonic MC 5500
1989 Panasonic MC-5500 on velospace, the place for bikes
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this bike model. This is about all I can find on the internet (this isn't the bike but it's the same year/model). I know there is a site with Panasonic catalogs but I'm having trouble accessing it.
I don't know MTBs very well. The one I'm thinking of checking out is supposedly a 21 inch frame with a 31 inch standover. That frame size seems a tad big to me (although the standover sounds like it will work) as I ride a 56-58 cm road frame.
One other thing: this bike is 4 hours from me but I like road trips and the price is right, I believe - $100. Is it worth the potential hassle?
Thanks for any input - I appreciate it.

The price is fine for the bike, but I wouldn't drive 4 hours for it. MTB's from that era are plentiful. If you aren't in a rush a similar one will pop up much closer for about the same price.

Nice bike, but not worth crossing the GW bridge for it, trust me.
