What year is this Giant Perigee
I picked up this Giant Perigee for $65 last night. The guy was super cool and said about 18 people contacted him yesterday. I tried searching for a serial # decoder but have had no luck at all.
Serial# GL902788
Serial# GL902788

Still learning
Look for a 2 digit code behind the crank arms. A solid, as in heavy, bike, but you got a very good deal, congrats and enjoy.

Constant tinkerer
Fork looks bent to me.
The parts look like they're probably original so look up component date codes. The Vintage Trek site has good information.

With the help of T-Mar. It looks to be built around June 1989. However the decals are indicative of 1990.
For or anyone who comes across this post in their search of what year their giant bike is
G - Giant
L - 23-24 week. each letter in the alphabet is for a 2 week period. I.e. A is weeks1-2, B weeks 3-4 etc
9 - is for the last digit of the year it was built.
02788 - the rest tells the number it was in production
all this info can be found out at,
