1976 Bicentennial Schwinn Fair Lady Excellent Condition

Just joined the form.
I had just acquired this bike from my grandfathers basement.
It appears to be in excellent condition with all original parts.
I have been told it's valued anywhere from 300-3000.
At this point i'm not in a hurry to sell, but would like more information on this bike.
And what do you guys think this bike is worth?]
Thank you.

What is the 4-digit number stamped in the headbadge and the 8 character alphanumeric stamped at the base of the head tube (below the badge)?

And what do you guys think this bike is worth?
I would estimate a value of from $150 to $250 because it appears to be in excellent condition. Unfortunately the girl's bikes are worth less than half that of the boy's models, and this one has the coaster brake instead of the 3-speed hub.

I would say the value is about $150-200 also. A big part of what will hold down value is its a girls bike with more of a boys paint job. Most collectors are looking for boys bikes and those looking for girls bikes are looking for ones with a bit more of a traditional girls bike look.

Girl's bikes are more often in better shape. Less likely to have their chain guards, fenders etc. removed & beaten to extremes. Schwinn built the Stingrays until 1979. Raleigh had the Chopper until 1981. They're still many Stingrays in America's basements, sheds, etc. If it was a Schwinn Krate or an earlier Stingray, that would be a collectible bike. Chris
