81 Motobecane Grand Touring.. What's it Worth?

I have the chance of picking up, from the looks of it a pristine 1981 Motobecane Grand Touring Gold frame and my size. How much would you pay for this cycle?

It's going to cost me 80$ and a headlamp I'm selling. Problem is I'm having a rough time coming up with 80$. What do you think, should I go for gold and bust ass until I have the 80? I have a feeling I shouldn't pass this deal up.

Enlighten me cycle gurus!

(Also what is the easiest way to post pictures up? Do I need a photobucket account or something similar?)

$80 for a pristine 1981 Motobecane Grand Touring is a great price.

a Moto Grand Touring (metallic gray) was my first 'real' bike.

it was nice, nothing heart-stopping, but a decent bike.

if you can't rake up $80, you're not trying very hard.

Shouldn't be our place to comment on another's financial hardships, but since you brought it up...

Unless the bike is for comuting or utility in another way, i would say pass. If the sale price is difficult to meet, focus that money elsewhere.

Bikes, especially c&v bikes, are a want not a need.
Just food for thought, with all due respect.

Post a pic. I have seen a lot of sellers who say a bike is pristine when it needs a lot of work. While a GT is a good bike, it doesn't have the components or the frame material to make it a can't pass up bike for $80. Especially if you don't have $80.
