77 Raleigh Super Course
Raleigh super course ten speed
Ad is in the link. I have the opportunity to buy this over the weekend, listed at $100, might be able to get it for less. Based on Sheldon's article on these bikes, it appears to be a 1977. All original except he replaced the saddle (which is a shame because it came with a Brooks B17), installed new tires and had it serviced 2 years ago, and he no longer has the frame pump. I'm thinking it would be cool to own one of these for a bit, and with some TLC I'm thinking I could at least double my money. Thoughts? |
agreed. The bar ends are a nice touch.

That is an excellent price, provided you really need a frame that large. However, it wouldn't even be that bad of a deal for a donor bike. If you're planning on flipping, it may not be such a great deal, as I suspect the low price is due to a hard time moving something with this big of a frame. I'm not a big fan of the foam (?) bar tape and the lever positions, that is easily rectified.

What are you waiting for?

I hope you are very tall, that sure looks like a 27" frame ! Regardless , very good value at $100 .
