Is this a genuine Colnago frame?

Your detailed photos are a bit funky.

But, it is probably a FAKE.
  • I'm not seeing any clover cutouts on the lugs (although better photos would be needed to see the tops of all of the lugs), plus a photo of the bottom of the bottom bracket.
  • The flat seatstay ends look odd.
  • Sloped crown forks should also have a Colnago script & clover cutouts.
  • I would expect braze-on shifter mounts with a sloped crown fork.
  • Many Colnagos apparently have 2 top tube cable guides rather than 3. Usually with the guide being open rather than being solid.

There are a few models such as the Colnago Sport that break all the rules.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

This is not a Colnago. Wrong head lug shapes with no cutouts as mentioned. Wrong shape fork crown, again no cutouts.
Seat stay caps not engraved, too large diameter. If you bought this, hope you paid less than $50.

I would agree not a colonago wrong lugs and no detailing. Looks most like a low end Bianchi to me, I would say with the bad paint and iffy identity it's worth about $50-75 for the frameset and $100 for the whole bike if it's strait no damage and rideable.

It is hard to say what the actual value is.

It has had updated brake levers and callipers. But, everything is so rusty on the whole bike that it could be an enormous headache.

Perhaps one would put on a new chain, grease it up, and use it as a commuter. $50 would be within reason. $80 might be ok.

However, you're just buying a rusty heap someone put a Colnago sticker on.
