1984-85 Raleigh Mountain Tour "Rocky" times two.

I was recently given this pair of Raleigh Rockys and one is a little small for me and the other is large. Nice bikes in decent condition. The smaller is missing its bullhorn bars and original pedals. I find the reach a little long on both of them. Original Raleigh Mountain tour tires are still good. Sumo alloy rims, Sakae CR Suntour RD,FD and thumbies.
I will likely be trying to find a home for them, any idea of their value?

Rocky was the lowest on the Mountain Tour line that Raleigh introduced. The higher end ones like the Crested Butte only go for around $200. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of value in vintage mass produced MTB's. I would say you could get in the $125-$150 range for these. As a buyer bikes like these are a great value.

It seems the "Rocky" was a Canada only model. Makes sense as a "crested butte" would be something you park on a chair to an average Canadian.

Frame: Raleigh Mountain Tour Rocky - Raleigh 502MT Cro-Moly tubing - Tig welded.
Forks: Original 3-piece, lugged steel.
Headset: No name steel.
Stem/bars: One piece chromed steel.
Grips: Foam, new but as per original spec.

Front Brakes: Dia Compe 981? (unmarked)
Rear Brakes: Dia Compe 960
Brake Levers: Lee Chi

Shifters: Suntour Power Shifter
Front Derailleur: Suntour 7
Rear Derailleur: Suntour ?
Crankset: Sakae CX
Chainrings: SR 52, 42
Pedals: SR 452

Front Wheel: Sumo 26x1.75 rim, Raleigh "sealed bearing" hub.
Rear wheel: Maillard Hub, Weinmann rim
