Hi everyone, I finally pulled out my older Peugeot 10 speed and have decided to sell , needing a little help here to Verify what I have. So far I figure it is a 1980's model ?? Here is what I have ,..serial# B510 18910, 36 spokes not 32 , ground to top of cross bar 32 inches, full chrome forks, maillard hubs, sachs front and rear gear changer,52 teeth big sprocket 42 for the small one. Navy Blue with checkered flag type decal beside the Peugeot name on bottom tube..
Tried downloading photos, no can do

Waynmon- Try putting the photos on a sharing site like Flickr and then link from here to there. It's a quick work around.

Based on the serial number it should be a 1986 model and the description points towards a Peugeot Ventoux (aka model PH501). If so, there should be a decal on the downtube, typically just above the shift levers, that says " Reynolds 501 Chromalloy M Butted Frame Tubes". The Ventoux was a lower mid-range model, 7th in Peugeot's line of 11 adult, lightweight bicycles. However, we'll still require pictures to provide an accurate value, as cosmetic and mechanical condition weigh heavily in the appraisal.

Hard to say without pics but based on the description I would say it's a nicer entry level from around 85 give or take.

T mar, and to the others .,,yes it is what you say it is a Ventoux, mine is Dark Blue and after viewing some of the images in google some of the decals are missing , however the one with the checkers on the tube running from the head to the back downtube is there. It looks like the seat post is original , it is so 1 more piece of originality, sadly I will not say it is in great cobdition, good condition yes , in my world of collecting cars this is a driver good looking from 10-20feet. However I am still pleased to know what model it is , hoping to pass it on to someone who can enjoy it as is or restore...
