Mercier special tour de france

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if this is a good price for this bike given the provided pics?

This is the bottom of the line, early 1970s model. Consequently, it has a hi-tensile steel frame, steel rims and a steel cottered crankset. The price is not unreasonable for the market for something that is ready to ride. However, the set-up for the rear derailleur indicates the owner is mechanically inept and I would be leery of riding this bicycle without going over it completely. As such, it's not good value.

novalyx - Might I suggest this Mercier 300? Not as cheap but so much better.
