Cinelli Supercorsa value

I imagine a lot of people here would like a cinelli supercorsa. I for one would. But how much would you be willing to pay for one? I think the seller is asking too much, especially considering it seems to be nuovo not super record. Interested to know your valuations - its in Toronto for market tilt.

It hard to tell if anything on that bike is Super Record. Headset looks dull enough to be aluminum but it could be a steel Record and I cant tell what the seat post is. My guess is its a Nuovo Record group built bike. Seller mention nothing of it being anything 'Super Record'. Regardless, its in very good to excellent condition with no rim wear. It appears to be a very nice well rounded proper build and should be priced accordingly.

collectability: A
condition: A

$2,000-$2,500 The sellers not that far from reality. But remember, its his bike. He can ask whatever he wants for it. Nothing wrong with throwing up a hail mary for a bike that maybe your not in need of selling.

This is a pretty nice bike. Things going for it:

- Volare saddle
- leather-wrapped handlebar
- Mavic GP4 (?) anondized rims with no wear on the brake tracks
- desirable pre-Colombo model with the holes in the lugwork

Negatives: ho-hum gruppo, hideous (in my opinion) chainrings

I think $1800-2000 USD would be an acceptable price for this bike. These bikes don't come up very often in one's size (in my experience), so if you think there's an opportunity cost to continue searching for a more affordable example, then it may well be worth paying whatever premium the seller is asking.

For reference, I sold my newer (circa 1986) Supercorsa with C Record everything for $1500 USD.

BTW, would love to see photos of your Montello.

Asking $2995 Cdn.
I am surprised at the fork not being pantographed?

As far as I'm aware, the pre-Colombo bikes didn't have panto'd forks.

This era, I agree with Jim...2000-2500. I'd place its value over that of the 80s red one shown above, but below an earlier headbadge example.

Adrenaline bikes has NOS Supercorsa frames for $2099, if that's any basis for comparison.

Kinda of sort of. Those are the slightly newer ones as mentioned by KonAaron but yes, NOS and new production frame values need to be considered. Because many consider the NOS frames to be a level down in hieracrchy it helps valuations.
