564 is not a Paramount. It was designed by the Paramount Group. Big difference.

Not really. Reasonable I guess...not a bike that does much for me, but if you want a bike, it's not outrageous. This was the lower end of their aluminum range, with pedestrian, though functional parts. Seems a bit high.

I wouldn't take the paramount decals too seriously for any 80s schwinns not made at Waterford.

That's a good price for that bike, especially in that condition. Just make sure that the proprietary seatpost with the internal expander bolt can be moved---replacements for those seatposts are apparently hard to come by.

564 is not a Paramount.

but, for $230, it looks like a decent bike.

For a refurbished ready-to-ride bike, with some new components, low $200s is a decent value.
