1953 Schwinn women's price

Found a 1953 Schwinn bike in the weeds guy is asking 100 bucks has licensed sticker from 1971. Tires hold air and frame is straight. Can't take pictures. Green and white. Price seem reasonable? He's firm.

Check the serial number to be sure it is a 53
Any light or tank? Can be a Hornet or a Panther, then 100 is OK.

If the components are in great shape... Worth as a parts bike for a men's frame.
Women's bikes get a heavy discount.

I had a 1952 women's Schwinn Panther pass through my hands about 8-9 years ago. It was from the original owner, had the tank, rack, springier fork, lights, key lock on the fork etc. Original two-tone green paint in good shape.

That bike sold for $385. If that would have been a men's version if would have likely sold for closer to $900.
