Anyone know the deal with my Bianchi?
Hi everyone,
I bought this used Bianchi for about $200 USD off an old woman while traveling in Italy. It belonged to her son and she didn't know much about it. I haven't been able to find any info online. As far as I can tell it's legit - I mean it looks like Bianchi - and I'm guessing it was probably a one off from the late 80's / early 90's, though I welcome anyone here to prove that it's just a custom paint job atop God only knows what kind of frame with some very well placed Bianchi decals.
For one, I'd just really like to know more about this bike. The paint is obviously very unique and people are always asking about it. Would be nice to have an answer.
I'd also appreciate if anyone could give me a cost appraisal, as I'm considering moving abroad for work later this year, and might need to sell. Just FYI I live in NYC so shouldn't be too hard to find a buyer if need be.
The frame is in good shape. Some light paint scratches here and there, and tatters along the edges of the decals. No dings.
Thank you for any help you can offer!

I'd hazard a guess and say it is a Bianchi.
Oria tubing is Italian, so that would be consistent with Italian manufacture. Unfortunately, your sticker says hi-ten, which is fairly low-grade for a Bianchi, but the adjustable dropouts are a nice touch.
300EX puts it at late 80's if memory serves.
So it's got the Bianchi name and paint going for it, but fairly unremarkable otherwise. I'd say you can probably get your $200 back, perhaps more if someone is dying for an unusual hi-ten Bianchi.

The Vento was an entry level Italian/European market model so you likely won't find much info on it. It is a nice medium/small size with fairly good cosmetics and a Bianchi made in Italy pedigree so you should still be able to get $200-250 for it.
