Peugeot PX 50 info? Worth? Help please
Hello. PX50 came up for sale. New to vintage Pugs. I have 103 10 speed which is light and fast. Just bought '78 road as well which is staggering 31 pounds. What metal alloy is PX50? What year were they built? Are they similar in build per se and performance as 103,501,531? Thank you.

Did you have pics of the PX-50? That doesn't appear to be a PX-50, it looks like the "road bike" you mention. I have a 1975 PX-50L, which carries an "Inoxydable" decal, a different tube material from the 103. The graphics on the bike you show appears to be from around '77 to '78, '78 being the last year of the PX-50, I believe. The top-tube decal doesn't match any PX-50 I've seen.
I picked up my PX-50 for $125. There's not much value to them aside from the Mafac Raid calipers and the 650b wheelset geometry. Otherwise not much more value than a UO-8, $150 or so.

Hi Mike Thanks for feedback. I will double check if I uploaded the right photos. At any rate my newfound obsession of vintage Pugs needs to be curtailed :-) Too much info overload and I need to give my brain a rest. Once I collect my PSV next week I hope to chill until I see a 531 up for sale :-) Thanks again.

But, with the OE fenders and racks, it actually looks sort of nice. I'd say it's worth $150 or so.

I think the saddle is worth 75! Fenders/pump/porteurs/rack..... I'd value this much higher. Just my humble opine.

The real winner may be the guidonnet levers, depending on the manuf'er.
This isn't a PX50 or PX60, though. Looks like the lower end variation, either PX22 or PX40. Can't 100% tell based on the pics. Based on the decal stylings, I'm guessing ~1976-1977 (French/EUR market).

So far no one has touched or bidded on it on eBay. Most guys over here are looking for more road/racer types. Michigander based in UK
