Royce Union late 70's
Hi, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if someone could give me some information on a bike I have. I have a Royce Union 10 speed which was purchased for me somewhere around 1975. Its still in my basement in average shape and I was thinking of selling it or possible donating it. I remember when it was purchased it was around $139.00 and it says made in Japan on the front. I don't have a picture as of yet but could provide one later. It needs new tires etc....I just was curious about the value of it before I take any action on what to do with it. Thank you....email is gg100@rochester.rr.com

Without pictures and knowing where you live, it is almost impossible to appraise a vintage bicycle. I do know this, from experience, though...
I took in a mint man's and woman's set of Royce Union bicycles. Both sold for less than $100.00 CND. Unless you have something really special, I would suggest that yours would be worth that or even a bit less.

Royce Union bikes were low-end, heavy bikes in their day. They might have had some better models at some point but I've not seen them. Doubtful it's worth anything more than just a basic, old bike. The fact that it needs new consumables to be rideable, I'd estimate value at $50.

Royce Unions are worth $50 at best. At worst, they are worth whatever the scrap value of steel is that day.
