I would say the price is good if not very good if the frame has no other issues other than the cosmetics. Nice mid level framset and the SS/FG conversion looks to be basically well done with SS wheel set, good chain line with drop bars, brakes and braze on's left intact so it would be easy to change the setup. This is actually pretty rare most of the time you see SS/FG conversions on CL at good to reasonable prices there total botch jobs. With no seat and poor presentation still basically $150-200 bike if you want a small SS/FG.

I think if you're going to just ride it you might be right but for resale it seems like too much work

This was a really cool bike at one time. Look at the chromed fork crown and long, thin pointed lugs around the head tube.

I'm not so mad about it being single-speeded, but did they have to bang up the paint so much? I picture this being locked carelessly.

It says the seat post froze and the shop torched it which also ruins the aesthetic

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

If this was near me I'd be bringing it home at that price. And I'm completely out of room for another bike...

Has the derailleur hanger been sawed off? Seems all the pics leave out the drive side. Does it matter?
