Zeus track bike
This has been at my parents house for so long I forgot I had it. I brought home this, a Campy Trek 600 and a Campy Vitus 979. I bought the Zeus a long time ago off the original owner who raced it. It's exactly how it was when it was raced. Full Zeus components, Cinelli pista bars and stem. Mavic sewups with Zeus hubs. What's this thing worth as is ? Thanks.

----------
Thanks for postings this sloar.
Appears mid to late '70's because of the investment cast crown and ends, the BOCAMA Competition 78 lugset. In case you happen to be on the CR email list, member there Nelson Miller of Seattle also has one in perfect condition. IIRC his example is a few years earlier than this and is blue. Saw it in person once about fifteen years back.

Any idea on what it's worth? I haven't found very many examples that have sold.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

Things to be aware of on this bike:
1. Zeus made a lot of French-sized/threaded components, if this is French your potential market shrinks greatly.
2. Zeus had at least two top-end groups, Criterium and 2000. Both were nice but 2000 had Ti bits.
The center bolts for your crank suggest a closer look - might be a partial 2000 group on there.
If you can't find a "sold" listing for a complete one, try looking up a similar 531 track frame in similar condition - do the same for the parts.
The whole will be worth a bit less than the individual parts, but you'll get a good ballpark figure.

The headset is a 2000, everything else is just marked Zeus.

If the headset is 2000 there's a chance the bb might be too.

Bike a bit early to be anything but metric dimension.
Change to ISO was somewhere around 1983-84.

That is a great looking bike. I would quess based on the current market which is down a bit $800-1000 to the right buyer. Since it is a true racing Track bike no place for brakes or clearance for wheels other tubular the market is somewhat limited you will likely have to list it national and it might take a while to sell.

Chainset is Criterium. Doesn't mean BB isn't 2000.
