Bianchi Peregrine Cromoly MTB - anything special about it?

Just curious anything special about this steel MTB. Bianchi Peregrine. How much would be a fair price? Did not ride but looks to be in good condition.

FMV = $135. Nothing special, but clean except for chain ring bolts.

The black LX hubs and Mavic rims have me thinking this is a 1995 model 1995 Bianchi Peregrine - BikePedia

Which is a little strange since it lists an LX front derailleur and XT rear instead of the STX ones it has now. You can see it still has an 8 speed casette, but the STX of the day was 7 spd. The indexing might be goofy.

Upgrades: XT pedals. Onza bar-ends.

Downgrades: gel seat, riser bar.

Watch out: Front wheel is backwards and the QR has been tightened in the open position.

Someone at some point tried making this into a comfier ride at some point, which is irritatingly common for CL bikes. Because they messed with it, I would pay a little less and try to buy for under a hundred. It's still a cool lugged, rigid mtb with a desirable brand name.

I sold a 95 Peregrine over the summer in Portland OR. Mostly original, paint rough but mechanically good, 19 inch frame. I listed on CL at $120 and it took a weekend to find a buyer. Negotiated down to $100. Peregrine is one step below Grizzly and IIRC retailed for about $800.

They're very nice riding, nice handling rigid mtb's. Unfortunately they're not worth much.

$50-75 is fair...$100 if you really really like it.

That is at least a '94 or newer because it had SuperLugs! They were pretty nice mid level MTBs
