If you want one, no reason not to get it. I wouldn't know about trying to make money reselling it.

Yeah, I figured that would be pretty close to retail, especially for the market here. I talked to the seller and it has new tires and he had the wheel/crank bearings repacked when he bought it two years ago he said...so it's truly ready to ride.

Those fenders are definitely not Schwinn-they look an awful lot like Wald fenders. They don't quite fit the wheels correctly, probably because they are made to fit another "26 inch" size wheel.

They look ok to me. That Schwinn chrome cleans up real nice. You got a good deal. The boys bikes usually got beat to death...

That is a nice score mainly because of the fantastic overall condition. Just as everything else except for tires appears to be original on this bike, those do appear to be the original Schwinn fenders and reflector. Wald fenders have different style braces. The newer replacement middleweight tires unfortunately don't fill the fender gaps as well as the original tires did.
