Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

Seller is one of the more interesting denizens of the Bay, occasionally offers something at a realistic price.
But not this time.

That hurts my eyes. I agree I think it is way over priced and rare doesn't always mean valuable. I wonder if it is one 38 total buikt or one of 38 60cm frames built?

Sorry I peeked.
I've seen that paint job pop up on the bay occasionally, maybe it's just the same frame getting recycled over and over. Yeah I'm thinking add 10-15% for unique, if not desirable paint job, which would come out to maybe $1500.
Shoot if it was mine though, I certainly would see if there's someone out there willing to pay that premium. Maybe a good time to list my Merckx Pista and see if someone would feel, like they're getting a steal at 10% of that price.

Consider instead a custom Bob Jackson or Mercian. Frame & Fork approx USD 1500, Chrome $500, near identical paint $750, Postage & Insurance $250. So, about $3000.
Why do I know? The wife fell very hard for this frame!
The Colnago would be seriously out-of-place with my bikes I should add that a new Mercian would equally be out-of-place!

There were 38 of these track frames made for an art show entitled 'Look Ma! No Brakes!'. https://www.bikerumor.com/2013/09/10...-own-it-today/
Nadir from La Carrera showed me the road version prototype with custom wheels (shown in the article) - pretty cool bike, although any bike I'd own I'd want to be able to ride! It's a one-of-a-kind piece that, like all the frames produced, has great value to those who collect custom artwork rather than bike frames in particular

likely a $2000 frame on its own - plus the wild paint scheme
Kinda falls into the category of the Robin Williams' auction bikes though that were going for several times their market value --- your not buying something to ride

incazzare.
IMO the dumb paint scheme makes it worth less than normal.

Yeah, Pros Closet's Futura 2000 Master Pista has been "for sale" for years at that price - but they prolly don't really care if it ever sells. However...the "experts" here that are stating it is not worth very much need to get a clue...
FYI - Robin Williams Colnago Futura Master Pista complete sold for more than $40k

OK but yeah I do have a clue because "Pro's Closet" ≠Robin Williams and his cachet.
Go buy it at that price and good luck with that.

Whew... that s UGLY... Are you sure they aren't paying someone $20K to take it off their hands and for the embarrassment of actually riding it?
TPC is usually pretty reasonable with the prices, and usually marks stuff down until it sells. But, apparently not with that one.
Any value is what the buyer and seller agree upon.
A couple of Colnago Master Olympic Pista frames on E-Bay for $1500 (and not sold yet). But not in pristine NOS condition either.
2007 isn't that old. Colnago still makes the Master frames (Master Pista?). If you were actually interested in a custom frame... I'd contact Colnago and see how much one would cost. Maybe $5000 NEW? Tops?

Some of these have been offered on ebay from time to time.
The price must be a part of the appeal.
As a piece of painted sculpture, it does not appeal to me.
I have purchased an "over the top" decorated frame set but built it up and ride it.

So, build it up, and the value drops from $20K to $10K (or less)?
I don't want it for decoration.
And, it isn't of any real antique value.
For that price, I'd either buy new, or let someone else take the depreciation hit.
